Abacus Beads 

The Abacus was in use for centuries before the adoption of the written modern numeral system. Around the world, they have been used in education as an aid in teaching maths and arithmetic. Children love to measure things and to explore the perspective of different objects. These new Abacus beads are a wonderful and unique teaching tool which takes a traditional counting and sorting device and introduces a new accurate measurement function which revolutionises the traditional learning companion.
The Abacus beads are exactly 1cm in width, so that children can easily and accurately measure distances and circumferences of many objects. The beads are available in units of either 100 or of 20 and are easily interchangeable to allow the user to create their own custom length sleeves.  The smaller children's Abacus beads do not incorporate the new measuring system – they are colour-coded and evenly divided to help with counting and sorting.

Feely Tubs

We all know how much children love to play "hide and seek". Feely Tubs are perfect for concealing items from children and getting them to use their sense of touch to identify the contents.

They are a great way of getting children to interact with each other and to develop their knowledge about non-visual perception. Children will learn about texture and shape and will create their own guessing games with endless possibilities.

Learning Cubes - write-on/wipe off

Learning Cubes have become an essential teaching aid in many classrooms around the world and are an invaluable resource for inspiring children to learn and develop their creative skills.

The write-on/wipe off feature allows teachers and pupils to use these cubes for many different functions – from simple dice to multi-functional arithmetical tools. The cubes are made of strong, durable plastic which is safe to use and they are soft to the touch.

The two sets consist of the large teacher's version which is available in packs of 4 cubes, and the smaller mini learning cubes which are packed in boxes of 12 cubes.

Letter Beads

A set of easy to use letter beads which conform to the recognised system of having red vowels and blue consonants – each set also has 4 yellow beads that serve to separate words and so aid the task of sentence construction.
Letter beads help develop children's understanding and the appearance of different letters as well as developing their manipulative skills. The beads thread easily on to the lace provided and are designed so they can be flipped over to reveal the opposite of either upper or lower case, the correct way up.
The letters are in Infant Sassoon font which has been specifically developed as the most suitable font for children to recognise and is widely used in schools.

3D Magnetic Blocks

A great fun way to explore construction using magnetic shapes.

3D Magnetic Blocks sets contain magnetic shapes that will challenge the user to make hundreds of different constructions. Illustrated work cards are included in every set, but children will let their imagination run wild and invent their own shapes.

Each block measures 5cm3 so that children can also use them to measure objects or distances.
Red blocks attract to the blue blocks and vice versa. This simple colour coding makes for easy model building and teaches magnetic principles. The easy to use, freely rotating wheels add the dimension of movement to bring shapes to life.

The Multicultural Stepping Stones set, made from 12 separate mats, is an essential tool for every early years classroom. It helps children understand the world around them and to begin to introduce the idea of different cultures. 

They are beautifully drawn with child-friendly images which are easy to understand and recognise. They can be used by the children to roughly map out the globe or to step from country to country in an informative way.

Number Beads

Number Beads incorporate a brightly coloured set of beads with laces.  The set will help children to understand the basic principles of numeracy.

The beads are numbered 0-10 and also include colour-coded symbols (plus; minus; multiplication; division and equals). Calculations are easy to put together on a string.

One of the great features of this product is that the beads are only marked on one side. This enables the teacher to hide the symbol or number and allows the child to identify the missing part of the calculation. A fun and colourful learning tool that helps tackle a potentially difficult subject - this is an excellent addition to the maths lesson.

Pattern Boards

This excellent teaching tool is a great way for children to learn to be accurate by lacing threads in different holes in the rubber board.

The set contains 4 back boards that can be linked together, and 24 coloured laces that easily thread into the holes with the aid of a threading pen. The application has a great number of educational benefits. It will help children with colour recognition, manipulative skills, problem solving and allow them to understand the need and reward of accuracy in the task involved.

The boards can also aid creativity and invention and amongst the many uses of this excellent product is the fact that it can be used as a story board by pupils to explain simple scenarios. A must for every classroom. Each set contains 4 back boards (19.5cm x 28 cm), which each have 280 holes, and 4 threading pens. The product is designed so it can be wall mounted if desired.
